The Yellow-winged Caciques (Cacicus melanicterus) are endemic to the Central American country of Guatemala and Mexico (North America), where they inhabit subtropical or tropical dry forests and heavily degraded former forests.
They were named for the yellow markings on their wings. The vent and underside of the tails are also yellow; while the rest of the plumage is black.
