The Yellow-throated Petronia (Petronia superciliaris) is endemic to Africa, specifically Angola, Botswana, Burundi, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. They favor subtropical or tropical dry forests, dry savanna, and subtropical or tropical dry shrubland areas.
