The White-necked Hawk (Leucopternis lacernulatus) is bird of prey that is found in Brazil, where it inhabits subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and montanes, as well as plantations.

 

Diet / Feeding

The hawk feeds on insects and other invertebrates It is an opportunistic feeder that will feed on prey flushed by army ants, monkeys or even humans.

 

Status:

This species is threatened by habitat loss.
