The Buffy Pipit (Anthus vaalensis) - also known as Sandy Pipit - is an African pipit that occurs naturally in Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe. It lives in subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland habitats.
