Saint Helena Shearwaters

Photo Wanted

The Saint Helena Shearwater (Puffinus pacificoides - Olson 1975) is an extinct petrel that is only known from subfossil remains found on the island of Saint Helena in the South Atlantic Ocean. It is assumed that this species became extinct at the end of the last glacial period or the early Holocene, as the climate became warmer.
