The Rufous-necked Hornbills (Aceros nipalensis) occur naturally in South Asia.
This hornbill is found in Bhutan, north-east India, Burma, southern Yunnan and south-east Tibet, Nepal, China, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam.
This species is endangered in its habitat with an estimated surviving population of less than 10,000 individuals.
The Rufous-necked Hornbill measures 120 cm (48 in) or more in length.
