The Rufous Cisticola (Cisticola rufus) is found in the following African countries:
Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Mali, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo.
They live in subtropical or tropical dry shrubland and lowland grassland.
