The Rufous-backed Kingfisher (Ceyx rufidorsa) is a solitary River Kingfisher found in Brunei, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand in tropical lowland forests near lakeshores and streamsides.
This kingfisher typically hunts from a low perch over water by diving for insects and frogs.
