The Red-billed Pied Tanager (Lamprospiza melanoleuca) is a small songbird that belongs to the tanager family.
Distribution / Range
These tanagers live in the lowlands of Brazil, Bolivia, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru and Suriname, foraging in mixed flocks of 3 to 6 individuals for fruits in trees.
It averages 17 cm in length and weighing about 34 g.
Diet / Feeding
They mainly eat fruits, but also some insects.
