The Pied Wagtails (Motacilla alba yarrellii) are a subspecies of the White Wagtails.
Distribution / Range
They occur naturally in Great Britain and Ireland, possibly also in the northern parts of western Europe.
These partial migrants travel south to winter in northwestern Africa.
Description / Behavior
The Pied Wagtails plumage is generally blacker than that of the nominate race.
However, their behavior (breeding and feeding) are identical to those of the nominate race.
