Hens that recovered from Infectious Bronchitis may lay wrinkled, misshapen or soft shelled eggs, with characteristically runny whites (which is a classic symptom of this disease). Soft-shell eggs may be indicative of mineral deficiency. Juvenile females may also lay eggs with shells that are not fully calcified; once they get old enough, this problem typically resolves, unless there are nutritional deficiencies.
