The Marquesan Kingfishers (Todiramphus godeffroyi) are endemic to French Polynesia - an island group located in the southern Pacific Ocean.
They inhabit subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests as well as plantations.
This kingfisher is threatened by habitat loss.
