The Maroon-breasted Philentoma (Philentoma velata) occurs naturally in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore and Thailand. The above image features the Bornean species found at Borneo submontane rainforest at 1000m above sea level.
It lives in subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and swamps.
This species is threatened by habitat loss.
