Grey-headed KiteLeptodon is a genus of birds of prey.


Sub-species

  • Grey-headed Kite, Leptodon cayanensis - widespread within its breeding range from eastern Mexico and Trinidad south to Peru, Bolivia and northern Argentina

  • White-collared Kite, Leptodon forbesi - Restricted to northeastern Brazil. It is classified as Critically Endangered.

Description

Both sub-species look similar. The head is grey, the upperparts black and the underparts white.
