The Kai Coucal (Centropus spilopterus) is a species of cuckoo found in Indonesia . The Kai Coucal averages 60 cm in length (from head to tip of tail). Adults have a black plumage. Their feather shafts are glossy black. Their long tails are glossed green. They have red irises; a black beak and black feed. Females tend to be larger. Juveniles have a plumage that is barred dark brown and buff. The juvenile bill is reddish brown and their irises are red.
