The Grey-collared Becard (Pachyramphus major) is endemic to Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and Nicaragua. They can be found in subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
