The Gray-headed Tanager (Eucometis penicillata) is a monotypic (one single species) genus of arboreal tanager characterised by yellow-and-olive plumage and a grey head.
They are found in the tropical forests from Mexico to nort-east Paraguay; specifically it occurs in the following countries: Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname and Venezuela.
