If you share your birds of different sizes, and potentially other pets and would like to talk about them all, this is the forum for you. Ask and share. There is no strict adherence to the topic of birds alone, but staying on the topic of pets is encouraged. Lots of resources are available if you need them.

Who isn't in awe of the Magnificent Macaws or Cockatoos, the brightly colored Eclectus Parrots or the clowny Amazon Parrots with the sweet voices. They are all amazing, beautiful and HIGH MAINTENANCE. Only few people can comfortably accommodate them in our homes, but whether we enjoy them in the wild or as companion birds, no one can deny their special status in the animal world.

If you want to learn more about them, or wish to share your experiences with others, this is the forum for you.

Most don't realize that there are nectar-feeding parrots (lories and lorikeets) and some that have a digestive system that is adapted for a diet rich in fruits (eclectus parrots). One of the common health problems is that ignorant bird owners continue to feed them a diet that mostly consists of seeds, which will eventually lead to health problems. These birds have special care requirements and this list is for those wishing to discuss those.
