The Cozumel Thrashers (Toxostoma guttatum) are found only on the island of Cozumel off the Yucatán Peninsula, Mexico.
Their numbers declined rapidly after Hurricane Gilbert hit tis island on September 14, 1988. The last confirmed sighting was in June 2004 and one unconfirmed sighting in October and December 2007 at the Cozumel Golf Club.
This bird has a brown upperp plumage. The plumage below has black streaks. It has a grey face, a long black bill with a downward curve and two white wing bars.
