The Bougainville Crows (Corvus meeki) occur naturally on the island of Bougainville (hence the common name) in Papua New Guinea and adjacent Shortland Islands in the Solomon Islands. They inhabit subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and montane forest up to 1600 m.
This is the only crow species that naturally occurs in this range.
The Bougainville Crows measure about 41 cm in length; they have a b lack plumage and big black bill.
