The Black Oropendolas (Psarocolius guatimozinus) are found in
- Central America: Eastern Panama (provinces of Panamá and Darién)
- South America: Northwestern Colombia (departments of Chocó, Antioquia and Caldas)
Their preferred habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest areas.
Diet / Feeding
These oropendolas typically feed on insects, lizards, frogs, fruits, eggs and small rodents, such as mice.
