Zenaida Dove

Distribution: Throughout the Caribbean and Yucatan Peninsula.

Description:

Size: 28-30 cm in length.

Plumage: Both sexes have brown-gray upperparts, red-gray underparts, a cinnamon-gray head and neck, dark violet-blue streaks above and below the ear, purple patches on the side of the neck, white trailing edge on outer tail and flight feathers, and black spots on the wings. The legs are pink, the beak is black, and the eyes are black with yellow eyerings.
