Description:

Size: 81-83 cm in length with a 200-203 cm wingspan.

Plumage: Females have a broad band of dull yellow crossing the breast and forming a marked contrast to the grayish throat, wing tops, and abdomen. The male has a bright yellow forehead, is all dark blue above with a blackish chest and bright yellow underparts. The bill is yellow and the eyes are black.
