Yellow-chevroned Parakeet

Distribution: Tropical South America south of the Amazon Basin.


Size: 25 cm in length.

Plumage: Both sexes are mostly light green in color. It has a trailing yellow edge on its folded wings which is also seen when the bird is in flight, giving the species its name. The legs are dark, the beak is red with a pale base, and the eyes are black with white eyelids.
