Wilsons Plover

Range:

Breeds on both coasts of the Americas; including much of the U.S. eastern seaboard and the Pacific coast of Mexico. Northern populations may migrate south to winter in Brazil.

Description:

These small plovers measure 17 - 20 cm in length.

The plumage is mostly dark grey with short white wing bars and white tail sides.  below they are white except for the dark chest band.  The legs are flesh-colored.
