Description:

Size: 12-13 cm in length with a 25-29 cm wingspan.

Plumage: Both sexes have dark, metallic, bronze-green upperparts and an iridescent violet rump and tail, the latter slightly forked. They have white undersides and a white face. The legs are gray and the beak and eyes are black.
