Distribution: Bahamas, Turks and Caicos Islands, Cayman Islands, Tortuga Island in Haiti and on cays off the coast of Cuba.


Size: 14 cm in length.

Plumage: Both sexes have a grayish-olive head and back and off-white undersides. The wings and tail are dark, and there are two white wing bars on each wing. It shows a yellow partial spectacle just above the bill. The legs and beak are black and the eyes are black with olive irises.
