Distribution: forests of Canada and the northeast United States in summer; Central America south to Venezuela in winter.
Size: 10-13 cm in length with a 18-22 cm wingspan.
Plumage: In spring, greenish above and white below, with a gray cap, white line over the eye, and a dusky line through the eye. In fall, generally olive above and yellowish below. The beak and legs are gray and the eyes are black.
