Distribution: western slopes of the Cascade Mountains.

Description:

Size: 51 cm in length.

Plumage: Adults all have a long square tail with light gray at the end. Males are mainly dark with a yellow throat sac surrounded by white, and a yellow wattle over the eye during the mating season. Adult females are mottled brown with dark brown and white to light brown triangular marks on the undersides. The legs are pink to light brown and the eyes and beak are black.
