Description:

Size: 20-23 cm in length with a 30-34 cm wingspan.

Plumage: Brown-gray above and buff below with conspicuous black streaks throughout. The tail is relatively short with white patches in the corners, and there are two white bars on the wings. The beak and legs are black and the eyes are brown.
