Rock Sandpiper

Range:

They breed in the northern tundra on Arctic Pacific coast of Alaska and the Aleutian and Pribilof Islands; as well as in Kamchatka and the Kuril Islands.

Description:

Short yellow legs.  Medium-length, thin, dark bill.

Plumage is dark above with a purplish gloss and mostly whitish below.  The chest has a hint of grey. The rump is black.
