Description:

Size: 37-39 cm in length with a 83-85 cm wingspan.

Plumage: Males have a blue bill, a brick-red head and neck, a black breast, bright yellow eyes and a gray back. Females have a brown head and body, black eyes, and a darker bluish-gray bill with a black tip.
