Description:

Size: 52-58 cm in length with a 67-82 cm wingspan.

Plumage:  Males have a green head with a wispy crest, gray sides, white neck ring, and rusty to chestnut breast. Females are uniform grayish, with the reddish-brown head shading gradually into the gray of the neck. Both sexes are crested and have red bills and eyes.
