Distribution : Great Basin and Rocky Mountains, from Montana south through Mexico.

Description:

Size: 13-15 cm in length.

Plumage: Both sexes have a gray crown, neck, face, and back. They have a white throat and underparts, white wing-bars and flight feather edges, and large white "spectacles" around the eyerings. The sides of the breasts are olive-gray, and the flanks sometimes have a yellowish tinge. The legs and beak are gray and the eyes are black.
