Description:

Size: 13-15 cm in length with a 19-22 cm wingspan.

Plumage: Mainly black above, accentuated by a large white wing patch and outer tail feathers. They have a distinctive bright red breast, a white semicircle under the eye, and a white underside. The legs, beak, and eyes are black.
