Oriental Greenfinch

Other Names: Gray-capped Greenfinch

Distribution: Europe, the Middle East, and northern and central Asia.

Description:

Size: 14 cm in length.

Plumage: Males have a grayish-green head and brown mask on his face, with a brown back, greenish-yellow rump and gray in the upper part of the tail. The wings and tail are black and have yellow spots. The breast is yellow fading into brown on the underside.

Females are similar, but overall duller in color with brown tones appearing yellower than in the male.
