Description:

Size: 43-52 cm in length with a 101-117 cm wingspan.

Plumage: Two color phases can be found: pale gray on the back and wings and white elsewhere); and uniform dark gray. Intermediate phases, as well as nearly all-white birds, also occur. The beak and legs are gray and the eyes are black.
