Nelsons Sparrow

Distribution / Range

Breed in the marshes on the Atlantic coast of Canada and Maine, central Canada, (the Canadian Prairies region and a coastal strip on the south of Hudson Bay), and the north central United States.

Migrate south to winter along the southeastern coasts of the United States.

Description

Orange face with grey cheeks.  Brown upper plumage except for a grey crown and nape.  Below cream-colored with  light or indistinct streaking and a white throat and belly.  Tail short and pointed
