Description:

Size: 11-13 cm in length with a 18-30 cm wingspan.

Plumage:  Both sexes have a black cap and throat, white cheeks and eyestripe, a gray back, and dull white undersides. The flight feathers are narrowly and indistinctly edged with white. The legs, beak, and eyes are black.
