Description:

Size: 25-39 cm in length with a 58-6 cm wingspan.

Plumage: The uppersides are slate black with a grayish tinge in summer. In contrast, the undersides are almost entirely white with the wings having thin black trailing edges and tips. They have a black bill, light blue legs and feet and black crown and eyes.
