Description:

Size: 13-15 cm in length with a 21-23 cm wingspan.

Plumage: Males are bright blue with a pale cinnamon breast and white belly and wing bars. Females are dull brown overall, with lighter brown coloration on the underside and two pale wing bars. The eyes, beak, and legs are black.
