Kauai Amakihi

Other names: Hawaiian Honey Creeper

Description:

Birds are greenish-yellow with black around the eye. They have the largest beak of the honeycreepers.  It is downturned and sikle shaped, with a blueish grey base.

Bird is 11.cm in height.

Range:

The bird is native to Kaua`i in the Hawaiian Islands.  The species is at risk because of small habitat area.
