Japanese White-eye

Distribution: coastal east Asia; introduced to Hawaii.


Size: 9-11 cm in length, weighing 10-13 g.

Plumage: Olive green on the back and pale green on the underside. Its feet, legs, and bill range from black to brown. It has a green forehead and a yellow throat. The wings are dark brown, but outlined in green. The eyes are brown to black with a prominent white eyering.
