Hawaiian Crow / Extinct in the Wild

Distribution:

Officially extinct in the wild; previously found in the western and southeastern parts of Hawaii.

Description:

Measures 19 - 20 inches (48 - 50 cm) in length (about the size of the Carrion Crow).  More rounded wings and a thicker bill than the Carrion Crow.   Plumage soft, brownish-black plumage with long, bristly throat feathers.  Feet, legs and bill are black.
