Description:

Size: 23-24 cm in length with a 36-38 cm wingspan.

Plumage: Both sexes have a gray back and head; there is a black eyeline, bordered white above and below on the face. The breast and flanks are orange, and the belly white. The wings and tail are brown on top and gray underneath.The legs and beak are the same brown as the wings and tail, and the eyes are black with a white eyering.
