Other Names: Galápagos Petrel

Distribution: Breeds exclusively on the Galapagos Islands; outside of the breeding season disperses widely along the Humboldt Current.

Description:

Size: 41-45 cm in length with an 88-94 cm wingspan.

Plumage: Grayish-black across the upperparts, and white on the forehead and underside. The underside of the wings are edged with black and the legs are pink. The feet are pink with black webbing. The face is white on the crown fading into white down to the throat. The black bill is short and hooked, and the tail is white and wedge-shaped.
