Common Murre

Distribution : subarctic rocky coasts worldwide.

Description:

Size: 38-46 cm in length with a 61-73 cm wingspan.

Plumage: The head and uppersides are matte brownish-black, and the undersides and flanks are white. In winter, they have extensive white on the face, with a dark line behind the eye. The bill and eyes are black.
