Description:

Size: 13 cm in length with a 26-29 cm wingspan, weighing an average of 18.3 grams.

Plumage:  The uppersides are uniformly blue-black with a broad white rump. The underside is white, except for the undersides of the wings and tail. The eyes and beak are black.
