Description:

Size: 109-140 cm in length with a 290-310 cm wingspan.

Plumage: Black overall, with a bare head (reddish orange in adults, blackish in juveniles), a black ruff, conspicuous white underwing linings, and pale feet. The beak is orange with a black tip and the eyes are black with red eyerings.
