Description:

Size: 74-81 cm in length with a 200-215 cm wingspan, weighing 2.6-4.3 kg.

Plumage: Mainly blackish brown, with white on the face and a dark bill. The total amount of white increases as the birds age. Conspicuous white wing mantle shafts are visible in flight. Some adults have white undertail markings. The legs and eyes are black.
